How Are Contacts Created and Managed in Message IQ?

Contacts sync with HubSpot automatically and can be imported by CSV.

How contacts are created

Contacts are created automatically in Message IQ whenever a message is sent.

  • If the contact's phone number exists in HubSpot, the message is synchronized with the matching HubSpot contact record.
  • If the number does not match a HubSpot contact, a new contact is created in Message IQ.

Importing contacts

You can import contacts by uploading a CSV in the Message IQ web app, or by syncing through the HubSpot integration.

Searching contacts

Search by name, phone number, or message history from within the Message IQ web app to find any conversation quickly.

Editing contacts

Contact details can be updated from the sidebar panel in the conversation view. You can also jump directly to the linked HubSpot contact record from the same panel.
